SUNS Clubs are open to users of secondary Mental Health care (ie you have a mental health nurse or CPN), or are using a service provided by Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust. We also asses non secondary mental health care users and can make provisions for primary care users that are in danger of moving to secondary care because of a decrease in their mental well being.
Art Club:
If you would like to explore your artistic side, then SUNS offers a quiet friendly space in which to express yourself. All you need to do is come along and SUNS will provide you with the materials you need.
Our resident needlework expert is on hand every week to pass on her skills in a friendly sociable environment.
SUNS provides basic materials for those wishing to have a go at developing their needlework skills. We also welcome those already skilled at needlework who wish to come along and finish off their own projects, among friends and pass on their skills to others.
SUNS provides access to computers with full desktop publishing and other creative software, as well as Internet access.
As well as access to computers, SUNS also offers training on how to use them, from the very basics to more advanced skills such as website construction.
Feel like a little friendly competition? SUNS has a full size pool table and electronic darts board available for service users.
Why not come along and challenge our Support Development Worker to a game, while enjoying a nice cup of tea and a chat.
The first time you come along to the Wii Fit club, you’ll probably wonder what’s going on, as you peer into the room and see people dancing, rowing or shooting hoops!
The Wii Fit club is fun, sociable and can help keep you active ... Why not come along and give it a go.
Tea & Chat:
There are 2 things we like above all else at SUNS -
SUNS offers a safe, friendly environment where you can enjoy a fresh brewed cup of tea and a chat among welcoming and friendly people.
The Posh Tramps are regular visitors to SUNS, and you can always tell when they’re
in the building, because everyone walks around with a smile on their face, humming
along as the Posh Tramps sing their most recent creations -
The Posh Tramps write music about their experiences, from spending time on the streets, to struggles with mental health.
As well as writing their own tracks, the Posh Tramps also work with service users at SUNS to write new music. If you’d like to try your hand at creating your own music, why not come along and meet the posh tramps on a Saturday between 12PM and 4PM.
