Crisis Panic Button

Drop In

SUNS provide a Wednesday evening drop-in from 6pm to 9pm. It is a social evening in a safe environment, where we can enjoy being together and have some fun playing board games, or joining in Karaoke - and most popular of all, the Nintendo Wii!

There is also an opportunity for those who may want to access information, learn about or practice their computing skills, to use a PC our small computer suite.

Whilst enjoying these evenings, we also take the opportunity to share our experiences of the past week, how we feel, what’s gone right and what’s gone wrong. This is an important part of the evening, as it provides opportunities for us to hear about mental health issues that are of concern to Service Users, and to feed those back to meeting such as the Local Implementation Team (LIT) who have the responsibility for monitoring mental health services in Swindon.

The drop-ins are funded by charitable donations collected by our members and friends at local supermarkets, which is another social activity enjoyed by many of our Service Users.

Anyone using mental health services are welcome to come along and enjoy a family atmosphere.  No referral is needed but good behaviour is required to join our friendly environment.
