The Medical Research Counsil

is a publicly-funded organisation dedicated to improving human health. They support research across the entire spectrum of medical sciences, in universities and hospitals, in their units and institutes in the UK, and in their units in Africa.

 

The Mental Health Foundation

is the leading UK charity working to improve services for people with
mental health problems. It is the only charity to fund and work with
both service users and providers and plays an important role in funding
research and new approaches to promotion, treatment and care.

 

Sane

aims to advance the understanding of mental illness by providing innovative scientific research, statistical information and focussed, resourceful consultation. We endeavour to be responsive, efficient and focussed in achieving our objectives, whilst always striving to conduct research in a responsible and ethical manner.

 

Mental Health Research & Development Unit - University of Bath

The MHRDU undertakes research, evaluation and development in all areas
of mental health, producing work which:

  • Is of high quality;

  • Integrates qualitative and quantitative methods of research and analysis;

  • Provides a holistic picture of the phenomena being studied;

  • Contributes to making a real difference to those experiencing and working with mental health problems.

 

The Sainsbury's Centre for Mental Health

carry out original and secondary research, targeted projects and
related policy work.


Mental health, social and public policy informs all their work,
including their priorities of criminal justice and employment.

 

Rethink

wants to know about your experiences of being treated for mental
illness - what works for you and what doesn't? They need to know so that
they can campaign for the best treatments.

Autism Research Centre

The mission of the ARC is to understand the biomedical causes of autism
spectrum conditions, and develop new and validated methods for
assessment and intervention. The ARC fosters collaboration between
scientists in Cambridge University and outside, to accelerate this mission.
